Anyone know how many nights ur oh is allowed to stay over before its classed as living together or effects ur benefits. I'm in Scotland (not sure if area makes a difference). I have 3 nights in my mind but could do to clarify!

My OH and I don't live together but he does stay some weekends when he isn't working to spend time with us and our baby. Xx

Apparently the three nights thing is a lie and they would look at the whole picture, if he pays anything towards bills, if you have a child (meaning that your defiantly in a long term relationship), if he works away etc and decide, i think they would do this if someone reported you and if found him to be living with you or they think your fiddling it so your financially better off they could make you pay back anything you have claimed however if you ring them and inform them they could say its fine he doesn't live there but then again they may want to know if he works etc and alter what you get x

Apparently if your asking because it's council you should declare even one night of its weekly in England anyway, I had a visit about it when I lived in council house

Its a private rent. He doesn't pay towards bills as he doesn't live here-its just me and my baby. I work full time but get some tax credits (tho not much) and I'm on mat leave till july. Should I contact them then? Xx

Sent from my BlackBerry using Tapatalk-its rubbish tho so can't see tickers or upload pics!

Oh and he is self employed, only the first 6 months into his business so no real 'books' to give a financial picture. Iukwim. Xx
