How long is enough? ?

Quinn was born at 36wks and is now 3wks old x
Hes been feeding for about 10-15mins and doing well x
Today my milk is squirting out he's only taking 6-7mins then sleeping I usually change bum to wake him but hes not interested x

As my milk is squirting out is he getting a good amount in that short time??
Confused with how long they should be having at what age?! Xx

The best piece of advice I was given by my BFing counsellor was watch the baby not the clock. Some old school MWs will tell you to time feeds but what is important is that you can hear sucking and swallowing at first then see fluttery suckling followed by swallowing. As long as LO is having wet and dirt nappies at regular intervals then all is well xx

Bethan is the speediest feeder. She is usually done in 3 minutes. When she was very little she was a bit younger but never more than 10

Be guided by wees and poos and for extra reassurance weight gain x

He has plenty wet nappies but only poos every 2-3 days x not constipated jus infrequent pooing xx
