How does Santa work for you?

So I said to OH how will we eventually explain the Santa thing? For example will we buy her a couple of presents that get wrapped up under the tree from us and Santa brings the rest. He said no Santa brings it all. But she will then obviously get presents and both grandparents houses so surely it's not nice if other people buy her things but mummy & daddy don't?
His answer was everyone will need to get their presents here so Santa can deliver them on Xmas eve but I would of thought that all the family want to actually give her gifts and see her opening them.
How do you do it? And what do you do to show Santa is coming/has been. I know we're a year or so off her understanding but its so exciting to have Santa in my life again lol

We have always said that Santa brings the stockings that they have at the bottom of their beds and we bring the rest. When relatives bring over presents etc, it's too stressful trying to hide them all lol.

They know that the stockings are from santa and I always buy santa themed wrapping paper every year and hide it, so they've never seen it before. It's only my 6 yr old DD that believes now, and her brother is still too young to know what it's all about, but next year he will.

That's a really good idea, can't imagine how I'll hide everything in the years to come! It's ok now as its just sitting in the spare room and she just keeps pointing to a musical hippo I bought
I can't remember believing in Santa so ill need to ask my mum what they did but I remember everything being laid out unwrapped in the lounge

my mom and dad have always.told their grandkids that Santa delivers presents for them at their house as well! i believed my grandma who had the same story when i was little Xx

Santa brings the presents here. He will also leave some at other peoples houses too, if he needs too
If we get other gifts dropped off before santa has been, if AJ see's them they are 'special' presents (AJ hasnt really asked and I'm expecting the questions this year)

For us as children, Santa bought everything - main presents, stocking presents and tree presents. My poor mother was a single mum who scrimped and saved to make christmas special and didnt get a word of thanks!!

We got prezzies from santa and then gifts from our grandparents etc went under the tree or they would give them to us in person.

We didnt get prezzies from mum and dad and we never questioned it.

My step son gets the same, santa etc and not from us and he doesnt question it either, hes just happy to have a big sack of prezzies!!
