Hi, I'm new to the forum and I thought I'd just dive in straigh with questions and asking for more experienced mums' help.
I have a 2 year old son and I'm going through hell and back to persuade him to eat anything! Apart from chocolate, he doesn't want to know about food at all.
It worries me because he looks like he's loosing weight and and I am desperate to do anything.
Do you think I should get vitamin supplements and force him to take them?
Any ideas will be much appreciated!
x

when luke goes through these phases i tend to try and distract him with toys on his highchair especially drawing and pencils, then i scoop a few mouthfuls in here and there or let him watch the tv, not all the time as a routine but hes loves balamory at the moment so when he is mesmerized by that shove a few mouthfuls in! :D

I have this problem at the moment, Haydens gone from eating anything and everything to being really fussy and when i make him nice healthy food he wants crisps chocolate and crap instead and wont eat! I put him in the highchair with the tv on and give him his food, generally it might take a while but if i leave him to it and dont say anything he will eventually eat it..on very fussy days where he will not (or has thown it on the floor  ) I will give him loads of finger foods that he likes so that i know he has at least eaten something, i usually give fruit.banana/apple, raisins, laughing cow cheese dippers, carrot sticks,
erm bread with marmite and stuff like that! I do try to stick to "if he doesnt eat what he is made then he gets nothing" but sometimes he would just go for hours with nothing but juice and i would just rather know he has had something to eat you
know!! and i dont give in as far as giving him crisps and stuff..i try and make it healthy! oh yeah i also have started giving him more milk to drink to get calcium in him and its a bit more substantial if hes not eating that much! good luck i think its just a case of perservering with it and i think its just a phase that they will grow out of (i hope so)
