Ok have been surfing the net for ages now looking at prams, pushchairs, travel systems, car seats........my brain now hurts! :wall:

How do I choose one! Anyone got any good tips apart from if it looks pretty or not which is my main measuring peg as I know zero about prams!!

The other problem i'm having is that I have a new mini which basically has a non existent boot, will have to put one of the back seats down to get any type of buggy in there! Anyone else got a mini and manage ok as changing car is not really an option.

Thanks xxx

I took a trip to Toys R Us and Mamas and Papas, they let us try some of the pushchairs in the car to see which fit best. It is also important to check that the car seat is compatiable with your car also worth asking in the shops when you go. Hope this helps.

I'm not too good at knowing much about prams either other than to say that to be honest a good buggy style stroller that lies flat for the beginning of use is actually pretty good. We went for a £70 job with Elliott and it did the job fine, it was lightweight and fitted in all cars no problem. It had a cosy toes cover for winter and a rain cover and it folded very easily. Getting in and out of shops was easy too. A lot of women round here (inner City so people do a lot of pushing buggies and walking and there are very steep hills!)) go for the McLaren strollers- I think those go flat but it's worth checking. Some friends of mine with very expensive travel systems and big off road jobs struggle getting them in boots and into shops sometimes so I personally think they're more trouble than they're worth and they're also very expensive!

I think our first one lasted until he was about 18 months (the wheels finally went) and then we switched to a really cheap £15 buggy which is even lighter and easy to get on and off buses. To be honest I also carried him in a carrier until he was about a year which we both preferred!

you usually chose one that you love and 4 months later are bored / doesnt meet your needs so you sell it and get another  :rotfl: all i can say is i wish id tried far more then i did before i brought my buggy , and i wish id considered the weight of the car seat as that was a killer ! im now soooo happy with the buggy ive got but it wasnt my first one lmao

I'm the same Kirsty, have a total headache looking at prams! :wall:

have no idea what to chose etc.....got one of the assistants in mamas and papas to show me one of them (think it was the pramette) and its confused me even more! All this up down inside out changing stuff around etc, the only thing it doesnt do is make me a cup of tea!! :rotfl:

My guess for you then would be that a travel system would be best for you!
You need one that folds small so that kinda helps in a way as you are cutting down your choice a fair bit
What about something like the Graco Cleo?!

Then you have the travel system, the small folding (well it looks small folded) and also its a 2in1 pushchair!

I agree! You are definately best to go test a few out :D

We have a small car, 106 as do alot of city driving, we found most Graco systems or buggys fold small enough to fit the tiny boot, also the car seats come with a base which means it will almost def fit your car seats.

Best of luck xx

This is what i have just ordered. We have a newer style vauxhall astra and the boot is quite small so i needed to go for the stroller style pushchair. We managed to get the stroller, car seat and pram liner brand new off ebay for £229!!

I went instore..looked at the offers, then went around folding them up...the easiest to fold won!! Took all of ten minutes go out and choose my pram..Im easy pleased lol
