Hi ladies,
This is the first time i post in this section. the reason is. i am planning to work. i didn't with my first baby but now i am planning to work and get pregnant again!
my question is. how difficult it is to work while ur pregnant? last time i hardly got out of home. it was only visits to the Doc! so plz tell me its not that bad.

Erm I think this is maybe better suited to the Parenting section :)

Truthfully everyone is different. How you cope isn't going to be the same as how someone else will. You may have a better pregnancy this time, maybe harder. As its so soon after your first you may find your body hasn't had time to fully recover and restock on nutrients and vitamins so I'd make sure to keep as healthy as possible. Otherwise a second pregnancy could really drain you which wouldn't be good.

Usually you show sooner with a second so you'll probably have a bump earlier.

I found it very easy the first time and I had quite a physically and mentally demanding job but never had a problem :D

This time I found it REALLY hard but needed to keep going for my sanity more than anything else, but sensibly I should not have been working at all through out this pregnancy. Luckily I have had a very understanding employer and a good sickness package to get me through.

Basically it all depends on your pregnancy really.

i would have several questions to ask you. How old are you? At twenty odd, you can do pretty much anything, provided you are healthy (as Sherlock was saying, pregnancy depletes your body of all sorts of things, minerals, iron, calcium and all sorts of things) What was your first pregnancy like? Although each pregnancy is different, there are certain things that are unlikely to be different. If you were as sick as a dog in first tri the first time, it is likely to be the same this time around. Also, remember how tired you were during pregnancy? That wont change either!
Is your OH really helpful around the house and with your LO? A good team makes all the difference.
My other major concern would also be AFTER the pregnancy. If it is difficult to cope with one little person and a full time job, will you be able to cope with double trouble at home AND work? I know that i find it is a balancing act to give all three of my kids time and keep ahead of the house and go out to work full time. But I would not change a thing...I know, I am bonkers  :rotfl:
Please, please dont get me wrong, I am not trying to be a downer, just to look at all the factors. IF you feel confident where all of the above is concerned, you will be fine. Good luck!!!

first time was easy I breezed through it, second time round I struggled, got spd and dealing with a job and paris was hard work.

Thanks girls.
I will try my best, as I am still in my 20s i think it won't be that hard. although my first pregnancy was difficult particularly 1st tri and 3rd tri. i think i will manage :)

I've done pretty well up until the last month. I wanted to work 2 weeks before the baby was born but have ended up leaving a week earlier than planned. I think for me the lack of sleep has been my main problem. I would say try and keep as active as possible for as long as possible but also listen to your body and slow down when needed.

As the others have said though.. every pregnancy is different. I think ive been quite lucky.
