I've posted this in Tri 3 but i thought i'd post it hear as you ladies have already been through it all

Is anyone suffering with these? If so, is there anything that helps and do they get loads worse the further along you get?

I have them already and my mum said they'll get loads worse through the pregnancy, not to mention how bad they'll get beacuse of the labour! Now i'm really scared!

I didnt suffer from piles during my pregnancy, but i had them after giving birth. I just went to the chemist and asked for some cream. it did the trick and they soon went away. No Need to worry, they arent pleasant but they soon go away with a spot or two or cream. xx

I had them after the birth and they were sooo painful. I left it for months and used to cry everytime I needed the loo cos I knew how much it would hurt. I eventulally bought some suppositories from Tesco and within weeks my piles had gone. If you get the suppositories it is best to insert them with a little bit of lubricant or piles cream on the end(a bit gross I know but they do work). I have put a link to the piles advice site so you can have a look at the different treatments available to treat them. Make sure you read the how to use Anusol bit and the piles and chilbirth section. Try to not get constipated as this will make your piles worse.

I didn't have piles through my pregnancy but got them after the birth and still have them  I'm sorry to put a damper on it all but once you get piles they never go away you can only shrink them with creams and supositres (SP?)

My best friend had them very bad and said the only things that worked were long bath soaks, and anusol, which stings but does the job, and also that after birth they will go away/get better

Thanks girls, i;m going to get some different cream as the one i'm using doesn't seem to be working very well.

i had them really badly after birth and tried various supps and creams from the chemist which didnt work but i just went to the docs and they gave me some mild steriod supps and were gone within a week
