Horrible Consultant!!! :(:(

Had my consultant app yesterday and the usual one was not there, she is so nice too ! and I got a bloke that was horrible !

He scanned me and turned the screen away so I couldnt see !

He told me I have to go for a glucose Tolerance Test on monday, even though the midwifes say I dont need one ! I have showed no signs of anything ! he just took one look at me and though shes a big girl she must be diabetic ! makes me mad !

Baby is about the right size, 1700g which I calculate at 3lb 7oz? is that right. looked at my chart in my file and it seems spot on ! so its not even that the baby is big !

The appointment yesterday was meant to discuss pain releif during labour as I have loads of allergies, and the other consultant was writting to the Anaphylaxis clinic I attend to get advise, and he didnt even look at the letters and my notes, all he said was loads of people have allergies, so dont worry about it !

Which just makes me more worried now, as he just didnt seem bothered, I really dont want to end up taking my epi pens as I have no idea how it could harm baby ! he just mad me mad !

Sorry but what a arsehole try and contact n see your regular m/w explain what happened and say you are not conifedent what u have been told you want a second opinion ask if she /he would be so kind as to ring hosp and try and get a appointment for u with ur reg consulant as she knows your situation and what is wrong medically and if she explain the situation i would think they will try and make sure u see your reg consultant
p.s sorry bout the spelling not my strong point hehehe
