It's a piece of junk that I hate but it has 8 seats and is big enough to drive all my tribe about in lol.

In a needs must moment last summer I swapped my beloved freelander for a Toyota estima-it used to take a bit to start in a morning but I was assured it was only a case of changin the glow plugs-about 6 weeks after getting it the starter motor went on it so had that replaced along with 'faulty' glow plugs. As the weather got colder it got harder to start it 1st thing,to the point it had to be jumped off everyday-eventually when the bad weather set in in November it refused to start so has been sat in front of my house ever since. We've tried new relays, filters etc etc and the problem turned out to be a £2 fuel delivery pipe!! Just had a call to say it now starts 1st time, doesn't smoke like it did and is basically running like a dream-just gotta pray that it starts tomorrow wen the engines cold. I'm excited that il finally b able to have kieron in the front with me (no passenger airbag) and we'l b able to go out as a family :)

Aww that'll be nice to all go out together! We were a family of 7 when I was growing up and we used to have to just put two kids in the boot if we wanted to all go out. Luckily it was an estate and not a hatchback lol!
It'll be nice to have a reliable car too - last thing you want is to load up with kids and then it doesn't start!

My car isn't starting well either, I have to have my foot on the accelerator to get it going otherwise it kind of starts but conks out straight away. I've been told it's probably heating plugs too, does that sounds like what yours was like?

Mine would just turn over and over til it eventually started witha great big cloud of smoke! Wen my friend starts her car she turns the ignition on,waits 5 seconds, turns it off then on again b4 startin the engine,it seems to start 1st time if she does that-might b worth a try on urs xx

Well I spoke too soon-stupid thing wouldn't start again this morning :'(

If it needs jump starting every morning then id be looking at the battery or alternator in the first instance ...

I hate cars atm, mine has been playing up for weeks so i made hubby spend all day fixing it yesterday  , wel, whats the use in being married to a mechanic otherwise ;)

Battery's been replaced,along with glow plugs,fuel pipe,fuse box,relays etc etc...just had a call from
bro in law (mechanic) and they now think it's the alternator-I think it's been a combo of a few things which is y it's Bern a pain in the ass to sort. Previously ruled out alternator cos after jump starting it would run fine all day which pointed at a cold start problem.
Just hope it'l b sorted after this-doin my head in only havin 1 car xx

YAY for family days :yay:

Road trip to mine soon Polo ;) x

Well fx it's gone for it's mot today so hopefully il finally get it back (I haven't driven it since b4 it snowed!!)

Aaaagh bloody thing failed on a list of major and minor stuff :sigh:

oh the joys of cars. if only we didn't rely on them sooo much.

hope you get it sorted soon so you can take the whole gang out.

xxx
