Obviously I don't know the sex of bub yet and it's early days but ... if I have a boy I'm in 2 minds whether to have jack (my stillborn son) as a middle name, part of me thinks no as jacks his own person and this baby is not a replacement but part of me thinks its a nice idea and they would have a little connection. Or I can go the other route and give this one the same middle name as jack which is David? Or do I just stick with them having the same surname? What would you do? It's a really hard decision Xx
My top 2 first names at the moment are George or Henry but George jack wouldn't sound right.
If it's a girl we are having Molly Louise but I have a gut feeling I'm having another boy xxx

I think that's such a lovely idea to have jack Hun. I know it was his own personal name but your naming new baby in his memory. Like ALOT of people do with grnadparents. Gorgeous idea really like it. I'm sorry you went through that too must have been horrendous :( x

It's a toughie hun,

BUT you don't need to have Jack as part of this bub's name for Jack to always be with you.

I would name the baby what you feel is right at the time

xxxxxxxxx

Thanks for your opinions, I'm really liking George at the moment and wouldn't have George jack and id be mad to change the first name to fit a middle name wouldn't I? Either way it's jacks baby brother or sister and the name doesn't take that away it's just playing on my mind, will just wait and see :) xx

I think jack is a lovely middle name but I agree with carnat. You don't need to use the name jack for him to stay with you. I think you should pick the name you like best. George David is nice? I do love the name Henry though. That was one of my top names. Who knows it may be a little girl :) xxx

I'm the same, it is a lovely idea, but not something you have to do , have a few ideas and see how you feel towards the end of pregnancy, something will have told you by then what is right.

Loving George and Henry tho!

George and Henry are both beautiful names that go really well with Jack.

I personally think it would be an honour to name your second, if a boy in memory of your first born however it really is your decision and no one's opinion should deter you from what you want to do at the time of the birth like the other ladies said. See how you feel but Jack will always be remembered no matter what!

Molly is a lovely name too, so cute!

xxx

I think that's a nice idea and very thoughtful to jack. I like both those names they are traditional which I think is great. Xxx

we have never been able to decide on just one middle name and both our children have 2 middle names (each have a name from both sides of our families) lol

I feel I would name the baby how I would if Jack was still alive.......you are not going to forget about Jack and that jack is this babies big bro ever - regardless if his name is there or not. If you feel strongly about having the name there then do :)

Love your names btw......

My son is named after my older brother who passed away he was Robert and my son is Robbie! I did it in my brothers memory and also so my son has a little story to tell everyone about his name and therefore my brother will never be forgotten! I personally think having jack as a middle name would be absolutely lovely! X

Ps I love all ur names that you have chosen they are all on my favorite list x

Thanks ladies :) Janebell I had none of these names on my list before, I had all "modern" names apart from jack so wanted to stick with traditional but nice :) I also had poppy on girls list this time then heard about the barlows baby and I took it straight off xxx

I think personally it's a nice thing but agree with the others, your decision will just come to you. There's plenty time.

My kitty is called George and I adore that name! But I called him that before I found out I was pregnant, never thought I would have children!!!! Henry was on my boys list too. And from when I was a little girl I've loved molly. Just my friend got in there before me! Haha.

Good luck deciding sweetie x x x x
