i really want to do a home learning course but can afford the £400 odd ones for childcare on isc so was wondering if neone knew newhere that does it cheaper

Lots of nurseries will employ unqualified people, then you can do the course for free through them. We do that at our creche.

i can only work 16 hours a week tho urchin n everywhere round here wants u for 35+ hours

The OU do courses in childcare and early years learning, diplomers and stuff. Plus if your household income is under about 19k you get all your fees paid for, if your income is less than £25k you will get pertial funding.

Check out the OU website for more information.

Sarah the ICs qualification isn't regonised really by nurseries etc...

you would be better going to collage to get your NVQ's in child care

most nurseries around here won't employ you unless you have at least level 2 working towards 3
