How young were your babies on their first holiday and where did you go? in hindsight did you think it was too young and have you got any tips? Also which company did you go with and where they good or bad for accomdating infants.

Im thinking about a holiday in greece next september when jake will be 14 months with my mum and my nephew who will be 22 months old.

Thanks xx

Mason's first holiday he was about 5-6 months old and we went to Lanzarote. Brody was 1 and we took him to South Africa
Us and the kids loved it both times it was a great age to take Mason, I would do it again. :D

I know this is not the same thing but me and Keeley went on a campin hoilday with my ex's family and we all stayed in a tent and for me it was hard.. she was 10months old so just recent and i had to take soo much stuff plus at night the tent was soo cold...We had a great time tho :D

I think a hoilday somewhere warm wil be better... i am thinkin of takin Keeley to disney is paris for her 2nd birthday as i won't need the sterliser and things like that that take up soo much room

First hol was when Ella was 9.5 months and was to Florida - no regrets at all and I'm planning on returning in December when DS is 9 months and DD nearly 2 :)

we went to newquay with hannah when she was 5 weeks old and it was brilliant she slept most of the time and we had a fantastic holiday, we took her to benidorm when she was 13 months and the plane jouney was a nightmare because hse wouldnt sit still (which you can understand) and it really ruind the holiday because i spent all the time worrying about flying back but having said that she was a star while we were there

I took Bray to cromer wen he was 5 months and it was really nice he loved it going for the walks etc
i took him to france wen he was 9 months and that was fine to the drive was a pain as he got bored but not his fault
at 19 months i took him to the haven meet and it was ok but the doors couldnt be opened coz it was dangerous etc so that was worrying then
at 20 months i took him to spain and that was fine he was so well behaved especially on the plane

I haven't had a proper holiday in years. We took Jess to Pontins when she was 3 and ended up coming home the next day cos she did nothing but winge. I'm gonna have to wait till Nathans a lot older before I'll take them anywhere over night.

took willow to yarmouth when she was 3 months and and taking her to butlins in oct when she will be 6 months had no problems at all the only thing that is a pain is taking all her sterliser and stuff.

We took Reece to Cyprus in May, he was 22 months. He was an angel on the plane, which I was dreading the most.
During the day he was fine, especially seeing as it got so hot, he spent most of the days chasing cats or in the pool!
For us, night times were probably the worst, as we were at the pool all day we didnt eat til later, he was getting narky, which stressed us all out, he wouldnt sleep as he is too nosey so all he did was moan! Poor toot, I think 22 months was too young to take him there as other than the pool and beach there wasnt too much else suitable for his age, even the kids club was age 4+, even the likes of Spain etc would probably cater better for wee ones as they've been 'holiday' places longer xxx

I took my eldest son to Portugal when he was 2. Unfortunately he had a tummy bug on the day we went so was sick all the way to Portugal, in the car, at the airport, on the plane, in the taxi. :( It was easily the most horrible journey of my life! Perhaps in hindsight we should have just cancelled but it would have meant letting other people down too.

Whilst we were away he was ill for the whole of the first week and we had to get medicines sent out from the UK. Thankfully for the second week he perked up and managed to enjoy the holiday a bit more. But by then I'd caught his bug and so I was suffering! :wall:

We've just booked our flights to go to Kos in October. George will be 3 months old. I'm feeling more relaxed about this holiday as we'll be staying at friends' hotel and we know the area, the shops, what's available etc. Plus our friends absolutely love babies.. and have their 6 month old granddaughter living with them.

I am breastfeeding but for emergencies I'm taking a small microwave travel steriliser and some ready made up milk. We have also bought a big UV shade for the buggy. I'm looking forward to the break.

Hey!!

Sam was 7 weeks old & we drove to France & did a camping holiday with Canvas.

Was absolutely fabulous & don't regret taking him :D

We've also just come back from Devon, had a great time again & no doubt we'll be travelling to Sweden in the Autumn :D

I first took the twins abroad when they were 13 months old & again, flights & holiday were great :D
