Sooooo, I'm either mad or just stupid, but we are planning on going away for a week in August in my mum & dads caravan.

If baby is born on time he will be 4 weeks old, obviously there is the chance he could be early or late.

What would you all say is a suitable travelling time with a young baby in a car? We planned to go to Tenby which is around a 4 hour drive from us but obviously will be longer as we are going to have to stop every hour or two to feed baby etc.

What is everyones opinions?

Umm 4 weeks? That is a pretty brand new baby and assuming you are 1st time mum (?) it will all be a bit new to you also.

Personally I would not be taking my newborn on hols so early for many reasons. But at the same time there is nothing that specifically stops you from travelling with a little baby, as long as you make frequent stops so the baby doesn't spend too much time in the car seat. And of course as long as the baby and yourself are doing well after birth.

Let me just add that travelling with babies and toddlers doesn't necessary get better with time lol xx
