How old was your lo when they started to be able to hold their own head up?

x

J's a freak and could lift his head from newborn! Even the MWs were surprised. He has a lot more control of his head now. We've been doing tummy time on a mat for a couple of weeks now. Also he like to lie on his front on me, supports himself with his arms and looks up at me. That's why I got the jumperoo now because I think it's only gonna be a week or two and he can go in it.

Ella is the same! Holding her head up the first night in hospital!! She is quite a strong little madam though and is already trying her best to sit forward if she is in the car seat or bouncer!

G can do it for quite a while too. I remember my brother being shocked at my neice doing it early, and mum saying we could both do it before we left hospital.

Xxx

yep, Will too, head up from a day old! but..that is on one of our chests. now he is 3 months i can carry him round without supporting his head at all xx

He used to try and do it around 2 weeks but didn't get strong at doing it until about 6 weeks when he had his check up xxx

In hospital she could hold her head up - MW said bigger babies often are better at holding it up i suppose because of all the flab to help them or something lol x
