Hello all, Havent posted on here in Ages, hope you are all doing well....
i am so confused at the moment, maybe its a pregnancy thing or maybe i should be confused, so any advice would be great!!!!
Monday i went to see a hospital doctor at anti-natal, everything was fine! felt baby said she was head down and 3/5ths engaged, urine was fine!!
went to see my midwife the next day (tuesday) she said you have a trace of proteine (sp?) in your urine but nothing to worry about, and she felt the baby(for about 20 mins) and said that she couldnt feel the head down, she is pretty certain the baby is breech! she said the lump that pokes out above my tummy button is either the babys head or a boney bum! So she said not to worry (too late) and she will see me in 2 weeks, when i will be 38 weeks and send me off for a scan, then she added if you havent had the baby by then :O
Could the baby have turned around in that space of time? would i of felt it? my tummy is the same shape and im still getting kicks in my right hand side by my ribs!
do you think i should be concerned or will a check in 2 weeks be fine?
any help will be greatly appreciated xxxxxxxxxxx

oh saff

Babies move all of the time, we don't know what they are doing in there the naughty buggers, so there is plently of time for LO to move in the right place. As it has been said on here before, a lot of the time mw's can get it wrong and baby is in the righ place all the time  A scan is the only way of knowing for sure what position baby is in and if it is breech then there are ways of helping the baby turn, maybe ask your doctor's advice?

Hello you,

Thought I hadn't seen you about much!

MWs sure know how to worry people dont they! They have been wrong SO many times about the position of the baby, and the timing of when people might have them.

KJ had been told for weeks that her baby was breech - turns out they were wrong after they sent her for a scan. Or baby had suddenly turned (not quite sure now, but sure she'll tell you) .
And snuggles baby is engaged alrealy and they have told her she might have an early baby (she is same stage as me exacltly). And vickyliegh has been told her baby is breech now, and is going for a scan monday to see..... but again, I'm sure she'll tell you more.

So try not to worry too much. Can't you think of an excuse to see MW sooner than 2 weeks time? Just to put your mind at ease? Not that you should need an excuse.

My LO is head down, and I can feel his bum up under my right ribs and his feet must be curled round to the left side of my bump. At leaset thats what I was told..... but who knows.....

If its worrying you, see your MW again, coz stressing about it isn't going to help you or baby.

Piglet xx

Omg Piglet you have 28 days till you meet ur bubba, how excited must you be...... My midwife isnt that great to be honest, i was having terrible trouble breathing and feeling faint, told her about it she said its where baby is laying high, sent me away, i fainted at my mums and couldnt breathe, went to the gp and my iron was low, midwife haddnt even bother to look at my results when i told her,
Havent really been on here much, have been getting bits ready now i have finished work for mat leave, I never thought id say it but i miss my job routine at the moment! still i wont have a chance to be bored when bubbas here xxxxxxx

Yeah my LO is all over the place

When I had my growth scan at 34 weeks the baby was breech but the sonographer didn't tell me and 2 days ago the MW said she is still breech and doesn't think it's likely she will turn now as she has been breech for a few weeks. I am angry that the sonographer didn't mention it to me because I could have done more to help her turn the right way and now according to the mw it's too late for her to turn. I have a presentation scan on monday so if she is breech then I will go straight up to to see a consultant to talk about an ECV or a planned C section but I have read all about ECV's and I don't want it done so I will go for the C section.

Long time no see!

Babies move all the time and if your baby is breech im sure it will move! My baby was transverse and nearly head down but they were scaring me with a c section but found out last week she had turned thank god and is now settled down.

Why not invest in a birthing ball as they are fantastic for helping baboes move in to the right postion.

just bn talking to saffy../somma on msn.. she didnt put in her post that shes feeling kicks under her right rib! i dunno.. i think she should go to the antinatal unit just for a 2nd opinion.. i got a feelings shes head down..
