HI all, had my 36wk mw appointment today and she told me that the baby is now the right size in wks so that is good, she also said the babies head was tilted so not quite engaged yet! :? BUT she told me that the baby is laying back to back :( So i am not happy as Elliot was back to back and thats why i had a 31 hour labour :( and i really don't want that again  She has told me to lay more on my right hand side
and get down on all 4s so will be giving that a try!
Sorry to moan its just begining scare me thats all :)

i was told to sit on a dining chair the wrong way and lean on the back if that makes sence lol

Sorry to hear thaqt you light be in for a tough time. presumably though if the baby is not engaged there s still time to move? Hope so.

Oh dear  it might not be as long the second time round even if he doesn't turn... nature never repeats itself and all that??!!

the dining room chair thing is meant to help, a girl from work did that, she was telling me last week....

if you have a birthing ball I find knealing behind it and kind of wrappping my arms around it really comfy position and this is meant to help turn babies too??!!

*************** positive baby turning thoughts ********

Arrrrr bless thankyou all, i will try anything :D

Awww dont feel bad for moaning! Heres hoping the little monkey turns and makes things easier for you!

I hope your baby turns this time although try not to worry too much. A long labour first time around doesn't necessarily repeat itself next time.

How about using the birthing/gym ball? Maybe a little bounce on that a few times a day will get LO moving about.

aw i hope ur LO turns around!

i didnt kno that i though u were supposed to lie on ur left side mostly?!

Use the birthing ball, get on all fours and sleep on your left side with a pillow between your knees!

Hi

Aww hun hope LO turns for you , good thing LO isnt engeged yet you still have a good chance.
 Katrina

Sorry i ment the left, i sleeep on my right mostly :|

I think everyone's suggested all that you can do to help turn LO, really hope they turn soon for you, good luck, there's still lots of time for it, hugs

Hi hun, Please don't worry. With my first labour my dd was back to back and I was 6 hrs from the 1st twinge to holding her in my arms. And that was fast for a first labour. the only effect I noticed was the fact that all my labour pains were felt in my back. you'll be fine ! There is no reason whatsoever why a back labour should be any longer, honestly.

oh phew! I was getting worried there! I've been sleeping mostly on my left cause I thought that was the recommended thing to do. Nearly swapped to my right then!

K.xxx
