How long do they normally have to feed before hind milk kicks in? X

I think it's only a couple of minutes... Not positive though!

Depends on how much milk you have etc if the boob is drained then they have got it!!

Now that i have started expressing i can actually see that my breast squirts out the lighter milk and droplets of the darker milk continuosly flow at a slower rate. So i would be inclined to say its always coming out just not as fast as the 'foremilk' If that makes sense x

I was so so worried about it until I found that! Now I know he'll get some even from a short feed a lot more relaxed about it all!

Can't see the link but think it might say what my hv told me. Latest research has shown that some hind milk comes with every mouthful of milk which is why they say it's now ok to swap sides frequently during feeds rather than concentrate on draining one side. Has made feeding do much easier for me than last time x
