Hi all. I have just had my first midwife appointment, she took my carbon monoxide readings and said they are a bit high at 7 ,(should be under 4) I've not smoked for years so I'm a bit confused! Anyone else had this test?

I did and mine were like 2 and I only stopped smoking when I found out I was pregnant early March

Are all your appliances in your home checked regularly like the boiler?

Yep boiler is within the year plus we have a new detector fitted. She said she will check again at 16 week but im overthinking

Im sure if it was an issue as such she would have said ? Do you live centrally in a city or by a busy road?

I live very rurally which will have helped mine I think

I live on a high street actually with single glazing... is that likely to be the cause? Didnt have these tests last time!

It can be caused by a dodgy boiler, wood burning stoves/open fires and general air pollution from cars, etc. Chances are it’ll be to do with living on a high street with single glazing, there isn’t a huge amount that you can do other than changing all of your windows or moving house. X
