I suffered a miscarriage three months ago, i have recently found out i am pregnant. I went for a early scan due to cramping, i thought i was six weeks but when she did the scan there was only a empty misshapen gestational sac. i went for a scan Monday a week after and the misshapen sac has gone and replaced with a normal one. It is still empty though. I need to know if anyone else has been through anything like this i am so stressed. I have been getting morning sickness, and have had no bleeding just occasional cramps. I am going for a scan next Thursday but hate waiting not knowing whats happening!!!

Hi, welcome to PF. I'm no expert, but it sounds like you might not be as far along as you think, possibly only 4-5 weeks, some LO's can take a while to snuggle in.

You might find that they find the fetal pole and/or heartbeat at your next scan, but if you are only 4 weeks then it might be a little early still.

The fact that you have morning sickness and have felt cramping are all good signs, coupled with the fact the sac seems to have grown would tend to suggest things are proceeding well.

FX everything continues to go well, wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months xx
