Help!

Hello!
I hope you don't mind me joining in the conversation.
This is my first cycle TTC No.2 and also my first time using OPK's!
I wanted to wish you all luck concieving and learn from your knowledge. ;)

How many days into your cycle do you start doing your OP tests?
I'm on day 9 and I started doing them yesterday as i've heard it can be from day 10 of some cycles and I honestly have no idea how long mine are!

I'd start earlier. I have sometimes ovulated on cd9. How long are your cycles?

Hi! This is also my first month using them. I have a shortish cycle of 24/25 day’s so I started using them from cycle day 6 just in case... didn’t get my positive until cycle day 12/13. Which was yesterday/day before. Xx

Thanks for letting me play haha!

I'm on CD9 and tested negative on CD8 and CD9. I'll probably start from CD6 next time then just to ensure I don't miss the window.

Not sure exactly how long my cycles are, they used to be the end of every month but have slowly moved to the start of every month over the last 6-9 months. So as a guess I'd say 29 days? No idea.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions :)

Your luteal phase can't be more than 18 days unless you r pregnant so if it does turn out your cycles are 29 days then you're probably fine starting to test around cd9 cos you won't ovulate til at least cd12 or 13 and even that is unlikely. You are more likely to be around cd15, and it could be later depending on the length of yr luteal phase.

I used the cheap opks. Didn't find that clear blue offered anything extra for me other than costing sommuch more!! I also very often did them after 5 when I finished work as it was most convenient and I usually had a decent hold by then. I think as long as you get into a routine and know your own cycle it's fine. My cycles were always 25-27 days with a positive opk on CD11-13. When I first started, I used to start testing on CD7 but once I got to know my cycle I used to start on CD10 as it just seemed a waste starting earlier. Good luck everyone!!
