Hi girls I really need sum advice, my right breast has got hot n heavy n feels like it has a lump in it. It cane on suddenly last night about 2ish n was very painful. This morn it's bit as bad but still hurts and although my lo has taken a feed from it it hasn't gone away like I'd hoped!! Any ideas what it is?? Shut I get checked out?? I obviously can't go docs coz it's Sunday.

Could be a back up of milk but usually feeding would clear that do might be worth calling out of hours and asking them? They'll probably see you to check for mastitis xx

Have you tried the usual tips? Breast compressions, hot flannel, paracetamol, maybe express some off?

Id try & get LO to take a couple of feeds in a row on it too, if its still there for hun probably worth seeing someone just incase it is mastitis x

if i get this i sit in the bath and try and squeeze the lump out as its a blocked duct it takes a while and hurts but it eventually works, you will see a hard lump of milk. This works for me anyway keep lo feeding on that side it should work its way out but if you feel fluey its mastitis and you will need antibiotics x

It's a bit better now thank you I've been massaging it and letting lo feed from it still, it's not as hard or painful but my nripple has got a hard white bit in it. He is currently feeding loads and I'm worried it will get worse as he feeds so much at night.

Doesn't sound like its too bad hun if the pain isn't getting any worse but a blocked duct. Your doing all the right things so just keep going as your are but contact docs if you feel poorly x
