Charlie has always been such a good sleeper, normally going from 8pm to 8am but about the last 3 weeks he is taking ages to settle and then wakes up anytime between 6.30-7am and he wakes up really crying and so unhappy. The thing is I know if he slept for 1 more hour it would make such a difference, he has done it a few times in the past few weeks and he is so much happier and just talks in his cot. If he wakes up earlier it's like he's not had enough sleep and is just grumpy but that extra hour seems to do it and he wakes up content.

What can I do to encourage him to sleep that extra hour? It would make us both a lot better in the mornings! :)

Is it dark in his room? Maybe its the lighter mornings?

Thanks for your reply Rachx but he's got blackout blinds in his room. I keep thinking it must be teething but he's a complete angel during the day, but then I've been told that he's distracted with other things during the day so it won't bother him as much whereas in his cot laying down doing nothing it must get to him, god it's hard :wall:
