I have thrush and I'm confused! I've read on the NHS website that I can use cream and a pessary, but on the packets it says you shouldn't use it if your pregnant!!! Can someone please help me!! I need something!!

Hey

I can't really answer about the pregnancy bit but natural yoghurt is a quick alternative & helps for the time being or another option is, be prepared to wince though......watered down White vinegar....

Yep I tried it, a few weeks a go, had a really aggressive case of thrush & the GP prescribed the pessary, cream & oral tablet & said to continue with the yoghurt as well!!!!!!

xxxx

Yogurt really does help, i had really bad Thrush during pregnancy and was prescribed the pessery and cream, hope it clears up for you soon xx

Hey hun, I had this a week ago, and my midwife told me to get canesten cream (the internal and external) but like you said on the packet it advises not to use when pregnant. I rang one of the midwives at the delivery suite and she said its definitely safe to use (both creams) but don't push the applicator too far up and you'll be fine. I only put it up about 2cm lol still worked tho!! :D hope this helps xx

Thanks everyone! Off out to boots in a bit to get something
