Help with weaning please

Can some one give me some advice on weaning. With my other 2 I weaned them on baby rice and rusks then straight onto baby food. With Nathan wanna do it myself. I left him till he was 20weeks before I started and hes had carrot with baby rice and apple with baby rice up to now. He LOVES it and eats every last bit. What else can I give hi,? How long should I wait to give him 2 meals a day cos he seems ready already? How much should I give him? He been having 2 cubes mixed with baby rice and ate it all. Thanks
