I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on peeing after giving birth? I was lucky i have no stitches just a little nic on and two grazes either side of my urethra and they seem to hurt the most it hurts after wards due to the graze touching my pad i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas to ease this? Thank you

Pour a cup of warm water over your bits as you go! I had a second degree tear and stitches and this really helped.xx

I agree with the cup/jug of water, that is what I did x

With my first I had quite bad pain after birth as had a 2nd degree episiotomy and I literally ran a shallow warm bath sat in it and and had a wee for the first week whilst I adjusted to everything. After that I had warm water iber my bits as I peed (jug suggestion). I recommend tea tree oil in the bath with no soap, three times a day to soak and pat dry and then within the week it should quickly sooth to normal. X

And by the way after I weed in the bath, I did shower off, down below, the bath water, as obviously realised I was sitting in my wee ;0)

I was going to suggest peeing in the bath - that's the advice I've been given in case things are painful. Although not always practical to run a bath when you need to pee!! Maybe make the most of it if you do have a bath and have a sneaky wee just before you get out . Oh, the joy! Hope you make a speedy recovery! xx
