Louie has been doing this for a while now but some days its a lot worse than others & today has been awful.
he likes to throw things, i mean he can throw really hard & his aim is fab!! he'll throw toys, books, papers, magazines, clothes, anything thats near him.
he put 3 dents in the screen of our old tv from a toy coz he threw it that hard.
he throws things at people too, anyone thats roundm my mum, sister, friends, hubbie, our other kids, i mean anyone.
while i'v got friends round i am constantly panicking that all of a sudden he'll throw something in the face of their child, hes done it loads of times before, so i'm constantly on edge.
he is a lovely happy boy & is coming on se well with his speech, we have mini conversations now, its so sweet :D

i love him to death but this is getting me down a bit now, also he punches me aswell, neither of our other 2 did anyhting like this.
any ideas please girls

Really sorry, can't answer this Aaliyah isnt much of a thrower, but hope it gets better sounds like you got your hands full.

Maybe your HV can help?

Charlie has just started this, so Ill be keen to see your replies. She lobbed her wooden skipping rope at may car the other day and today she chucked her welly at me. I have just gone down to her level and told her it is not nice to throw things at people and the reason why etc etc, Im hoping it isnt going to get any worse!
I can empathise! Hope you find some way of working it. x

Oh poor you  well rather than investing in a hard hat and bubble wrap for your tv, Id suggest doing what you are probably doing already, getting down to his level, telling him 'NO' really firmly, and most importantly getting him to go and pick up what he has thrown and putting it back, that way it will become boring and he (hopefully) wont want to throw stuff. Dont react badly, shout or be too cross as he will then be getting a reaction from you, and to a 2 year old, any reaction is a good one, however negative.

Let us know how you get on xxxx
