as you may have seen in Adult section I now have loads of mash potatoes surplus to requirment  question is can I freeze ther mash? we don't want to eat them tomorrow as it's DH's birthday and we have tea planned so don't want to put them in the fridge. Thanks in advance

I've never frozen mash but im sure you can.

Give it a go and see what its like if its not good once its defrosted then you can always throw it.

I've frozen mash loads. I put it in an over proof dish and just whack it in with whatever else is cooking in the oven. Straight from frozen. Just stir it a few times during cooking.

My sister defrosts hers and heats in the microwave so you can do it either way.

I freeze mash - Im terrible at letting potatoes going off and not using them so now make large amounts of mash and freeze in little tubs!
