Help please!

for the past hour or so ive been experiencing sharp stitch like pains in my belly, sort of behind and around my belly button, it doesnt feel like cramping and i havent bled at all, i called my local hospital and spoke to a midwife and she said if i really am worried then to come in to a and e but pregnancy is full of pains and aches and i shouldnt panic. Im home alone and dont have my car so getting to hospital would be a pain and id like to avoid it at all costs as i start back at work tomorrow and i just dont want it to be serious enough for the need of hospital.

im so worried, has anyone else experienced this? or heard of it?

Don't panic.......its very normal and what your describing is what lots of us have had. So long as you don't have bleeding or severe pain its prob just your uterus stretching and causing you some pain....x x

oh thank god, ive been crying my eyes out with worry - today has not been the greatest of days, im an emotional wreck! ive been looking online and read that it may be a growth spurt if im carrying high, which i believe i am and to not be suprised if i wake up tomorrow huge. i cant imagine that. i do hope thats what it is though, a positive coming out of a negative.

i cant find a suitable explanation for this and its been constant and severe for 7 hours so im going to a&e

hope your OK, pretty sure there was a girl on here before somewhere had something similar & it turned out to be growing pains, fingers x'd, keep us updated! xx

I get pains like that Hun and I was told it was round ligament pain. Hope everything went ok at a and e

I got that too, got really worried (had day off work!) and rang midwife etc, but all turned out to be just stretching. Hope you're home and reassured soon x

Hi ladies, after 5 hours in a and e i was told its gastric inflammatory and stretching. But im not convinced. Ive never felt pain like it. Ive had the day off work as i only got 3 hours sleep at most. I feel alot better but im not at ease. Thanks for your support xx

much better, they have gone completely but were horrendous at the time and i was thinking the worst. I was alone in the house as the boyfriend had gone back to leeds for uni and i was terrified. I couldnt lay in any position without severe pain. but fingers crossed it wont come back!
