Help needed please early scan

Hi All,

I went for an early scan 12 days ag due to light bleeding and was told my gestational sac measured 8mm so under 5 weeks and it is normal not to see much at this stage I had my hcg levels checked and they were 6,000, had them checked 2 days later and they had gone up to 10,000. Was booked in for another scan yesterday and was told the gestational sac measured 15mm with a visible yolk sac so approx 6 weeks but no fetus seen it seems also I am a few mm behind what I should be.

I need to go back in 10 days for another scan but now I am sick with worry whether or not to be positive now the sonographer said the pregnancy has progressed but it is slow developing and mentioned miscarriage possible, has anybody here gone back after a 6 week scan to see fetus and heartbeat?

This is my first pregnancy with no previous miscarriages.

It seems my sac is 5mm behind going off the 1mm a day growth guideline from the first scan.

Sorry, this hasn't happened to me but didn't want to read and run. What I do know though is that 6 weeks scans can be fickle things. It's very hard to tell what's going on. I had to go back at 8 weeks so that they could see better. Try to relax x

I just did some searching and read a similar thread on a baby centre forum, which was similar with a positive outcome. I really hope it's the same for you!x

I had an early scan at 7 weeks, thought you won't see much by then . We saw the gestational sac, the fetus and the heartbeat. If you're not bleeding still and feeling better, I would suggest to wait until 7 weeks, you should see the fetus and hearbeat then
