Help interpreting follicle scan...clomid and pcos

Hi lovely ladies

I'm on clomid (cycle 2) and had an ultrasound on day 14 which showed a 26mm follicle on left ovary. Nurse seemed happy with this but didn't explain if that would definitely mean I would ovulate and if so, when. Hubby and I were together on day 13 and 14, now on day 16. Had a positive opk on day 14 and EWCM on day 13 and 14. Any clue when I might ovulate? Have PCOS and don't think I ovulate on my own normally. Ttc for 18 months.

My guess is you ovulated on day 14. I took clomid for pcos. I find that going to the follicle scan loaded with questions is a good idea. How many follicles? How mature are they? Etc etc. But if there is one and they are happy then my advise is to start having sex every other day and crossing your fingers! Worked for me! xx

I agree it sounds like you ov'ed on day 14. A 26mm follicle is definitely on the point of ovulation (although there are no guarantees) so the positive opk and ewcm suggest it did pop. My dh and I dtd the day before and after ov as well as on the day itself on our clomid cycle when we conceived so I think you're in with a good chance. Good luck xx

I agree that you probably did ovulate & 26mm is a good size! I tended to just have one large one when I took clomid, I thought there would be more but not always I suppose! I don't think they mention any smaller ones they can see, unless its only on day 9 or something and they might grow. Good luck!
