help - haemorrhoids!

Hi all, I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and suffering from painful haemorrhoids (lovely!). I'm panicking that these will get worse during labour and cause problems. Does anyone know of any creams/ reliefs that are safe to use? Should I go to docs? Thanks in advance

I'm suffering terribly as well, I feel your pain! I'm just using an over counter cream, doesn't say anything about not being used in pregnancy. Baths help too x

See someone on another forum used an ice lolly with paper still on between her cheeks .. said it helped her alot.. thought was good idea.. may put u off that particular lolly though..lol..Get over counter creams too.

I went to doctors and was told that Anusol cream is safe to use. It helped me but took good few days for the pain to subside. I heard that ice helps too. Hope you fee better soon !

I've tried all creams and even had an operation on them b4 as I suffer terribly with them and have done for years now since having my first baby but I have to say I found this and tried it and OMG it's amazing and really works!! if could help me it can help anyone, it does cost a bit but if you are in constant agony with them like I was it's so worth it and lasts forever xx

It's a prescription but I you can ask your gp for sheriproct. It's a steroid cream safe in pregnancy but you will need to go to the gp. It also acts as a anti inflammatory which reduces so much swelling and pain. I nearly suffered thrombosed hemorrhoids so I know exactly how painful they can get. Xx

Haha! God at one point it was like a large marble snd as hard and I swear I couldn't sit down are really lay down or actually do anything. I might say that realistically it's more painful than labour as its a pain that's far more sensitive x

Oh no u poor thing i had bad ones after i gave birth my doc prescribed anusol cream which u can also buy which seemed to give some relief xXx

I've got them real bad at the moment too, mentioned it to my midwife and she just said i'd have to deal with it afterwards cos they're probably going to have to be operated on and i've tried all the creams etc
I'm dead scared of what's going to happen in labour cos they're already so bad just going to the toilet! xo

Don't worry ladies, the worst it will get is them popping out but they will resolve after a week however the "scaring" ie skin tissue tags may still poke out but you can get these nipped off if they cause future pain. I had really really bad piles and it was bad but after the first year they almost disappeared. When I mean bad I had about 8 gooseberries sticking out of my bottom but they did go. Plenty of water after birth. Bum will not turn inside out ��

I've had them since my first. And they are external so are always their. After thus pregnancy I'm going to go to the doctors and see what they can do. I've tried all creams and they help with the pain but they haven't worked on making them go away. How glam are we lol xx
