Hi all, had our 20 week scan today and whilst everything is fine, it all went by in a blur so was reading my notes....

what does h/c, a/c and fl stand for? i am thinking head circumference and femur length???

the only think i really remember (and oh as well) is that its a girl!!!

also where is your placenta meant to be? mine is 'posterior, not low' is that normal??

Thanks!!

Hey! I had mine out the other day looking them up on google. I was 20 weeks 1 day. My notes say:

HC=174mm Gestational Age:20w 0d
FL= 32mm Gestational Age: 20w 0d
Placental Site: Posterior
Difficult scan due to fetal position.

The baby was measuring 20weeks exactly. From what i found on the internet HC does mean head circumference and FL Femur length. Most of this info was from other forums that came up. As far as i could tell posterior is fine and nothing to worry about at all.

Wow congrats on having a girl. I had to google these abbreviations when I had my 12weeks scan. h/c is head circumference, a/c is abdominal circumference and f/l is femour length so you got two out of three right. Not sure where you're placenta is "meant to be" but posterior, not low sounds good. Ithink anything "not low" is good. I cant wait for my 20 weeks scan on 1 march.

Posterior placenta means it is at the back which is fine xx
