Hi, ive recently posted a thread about light bleeding and found our everything was ok, the bleeding didn't really go though, it was pink when i had my scan then after started turning brown which i thought was good.
but now the bleeding is really heavy and my cramps are starting to get noticeable this happened on Saturday night, i went to the er they booked my an appointment for a scan on Tuesday... surely with heavy bleeding they should have checked me over there?
Im trying to book into a private scan place this evening because ive had no sleep and im just thinking the worst. The blood is bright red with stringy bits (tmi) not sure if they are blood clots? I need to wear a pad but the blood really only comes off when i wipe (again tmi), like the pad wouldn't fill up even if i didnt change if all day etc... Getting sharp pains in my pubic area aswell??? I dont know what to do with myself im so frustrated with everything!!!!
This is my first pregnancy. Not sure how many weeks because the doctors and nurses cant make up their bloody minds! If I went off my last period i would be 7+3.
Any advise that would be great thanks..

If you had a scan that showed the baby is in the right place and nothing else is wrong apart from the bleeding and cramps, then unfortunately there isn't really any need for a scan right now because you're not really in any danger. That doesn't help with your state of mind though, and you're bound to worry!

I'd see what happens between now and Tuesday, because if the worse is happening, there's really nothing that can be done either way.

I hope everything works out okay for you! X

Easier said than done but try not to worry. I bled in both my previous pregnancies from about 6-22 weeks and it was really worrying! I ended up not enjoying a lot of my pregnancies as I was just worried the whole time. I did have 2 healthy beauties at the end of it though. Bleeding isn't always a bad sign, in fact it is really common x

Bleeding and pain is worse now... Just looks and feels like im on my period. Had to take pain killers for the pain. Booked an appointment for a private scan tonight. Are they able to do an internal scan you while bleeding heavily?

I got scanned during my mcs so tat shouldn't be a problem. Fingers crossed it's not the worst thinking of you x

Hope your scan went ok. I have everything crossed for you x

I had a miscarriage, had to go to A&E couple hours after this post, had a bath to try and stop the pain as painkillers wasnt working. The bath turned red (tmi) and my cramps were severe, i called my husband home from work and we went straight there, my bleeding was so bad i started leaking through a maxi pads , the hosp had to give me a giant pad looked like a nappy and new trousers while i waited to be seen by a doctor... My blood clots were huge at this point. The doctor said you're probably having a miscarriage, i got admitted to hospital and taken to the gyne ward...They said they might have to keep me because i was loosing too much blood... The next doctor did all her examinations and said that I had lost the baby, my blood tests came back ok, so she said i could go home but if i did i would need to keep an eye on the bleeding etc.. She gave me co codamol for the pain, which isnt helping alot tbh. She confirmed that I was likley to have been 7+4. Went in for a scan the next day to make sure my womb was ok, luckily it was... They reassured me by saying it wasnt my fault and there was probably something wrong and it might have not been growing right. and with my next pregnancy i have a 80% chance of it being successful... Im just really angry atm!!
