Hi all,

I want to book an early scan but was wondering when any of you were first able to see the heartbeat or if you know when its more likely to show??
I have googled it and it seems to be about 6-7 weeks but wanted to know from personal experiences of others. I dont want to go for an early scan, not see what I think I should see and then be more worried-hope that makes sense x

Hi Hun I've had two private scans in two weeks, at 7+2 i could see the hb but not hear it then at 8+5 I could hear and see it. Hope this helped :) personally I would wait till after 8 wks xxx

I had a scan when I was 8 + 2 and we could hear the hb xxx

I could see hb on screen at 7+1 scan, I wouldn't go before 7 weeks personally just incase they can't find it as it can be difficult at that stage. X x

We had our scan at 8+6 and could both see and hear the heartbeat... magical experience! :)

Thanks ladies,

I will wait til 7-8 weeks then, I am worrying constantly so want to put my mind at rest xx its crazy that you can hear the heartbeat at 8 weeks, I have had a baby before but it all still amazes me :) x

I would say the same as the other girls, wait until 8 weeks. We went at 8 weeks and I got put back a week, so we could see the heartbeat, but we couldn't hear it. I don't know if that's because it was internal.
