Heard my baby!

My Doppler came today and after a 3rd try on a very full bladder I heard the heartbeat!!! It's surprisingly quite low down, I got it on the top of my pubic bone to the right a little...sounded like a train!!! Also heard like a thudding noise which I think might be him/her kicking?

I could also hear my pulse either side of my hips which makes you think that it might be The HB but it's too slow for that and I also heard the placenta..a whooshing sound!

So I'm on cloud nine! I just hope I can pick it up again for hubby tomorrow now!

I would go for it but it depends if it would make you worry if you couldn't find anything...you have to have a lot if patience and move the Doppler very slowly.

This sounds fab, just dont know if id worry if I couldnt pick it up and id be using it all the time. It would be lovely though. How much was it? Aw what a lovely experience for you! xx

I haven't got a date yet but the midwife said between 13 and 14 weeks..don't half make you wait eye!

It was £28 from amazon twinkle..a pink angel sounds one. It did say on the site that you can pick up te heartbeat between 10 and 12 weeks but on the box it said between 14-16 weeks! So I wasn't expecting to hear anything just yet!

i got my angel sound doppler for £15 an also found the HB at 11 weeks they can be picked up earlier with these dopplers just not many of the other ones because it can become difficult.
so glad u heard the hb
it does sound like a train and when it gets bigger it will sound like horses galloping lol.
Also at 11 weeks hun babys heart is very low down u will also notice the heartbeat is mainly always down that area me midwife said until bubs starts moving up . if u lie down on a bed an put the doppler on ur belly guarenteed ull find the HB again hun xx

JJ Mum, yes very reasurring!! I think it's so weird at this stage wondering if its really happening or is it your body playing tricks on you and to hear something so special as a heartbeat from a baby so small is amazing!

Thanks everyone...Hubs is busting to hear it too but he works nights so got to wait till this afternoon when he's awake!

Yup, tomorrow at 9am! I'm really excited and also scared in case something is wrong. I will post tomororw with pics as long as all is well
