I'm not sure why she is coming before the baby has been born

My mum is coming over to manhandle the dogs into submission so hopefully she can handle that...

Can anyone tell me why she is coming???

Usual practice in some areas now (midwives refer you to them early)
they'll tell you about the services they offer and introduce themselves. I had a visit, it was productive

It might depend on how efficient they are lol. I suppose meeting them before baby is born means you already know who you're letting into your house and will perhaps feel more comfy with them and discuss any concerns more openly. I think it's a good idea, they are there for you and baby at the end of the day so relax and enjoy it
