Matt has a really sticky eye, I have been bathing it with cooled boiled water but its really persistent so - I have just bathed it in some breastmilk :dance:I am hoping that it will clear it up. While I was bathing his eye it got me thinking about Rosie's cough that she has had for *get this* 6 weeks now! The doc says it is viral and will go away in time but its really bloody awful, right on her chest. So, I decided that she is going to get a shot of breastmilk every day now until her cough goes away! I am confident that it will help, it is so full of antibodies that it can only do some good :)

I'd do the same!
Oscar was born with a sticky eye and at about 6 weeks I squirted some right in and it cleared really quick x

George has a bit of a sticky eye and mw told me breast milk will clear it up - havent actually tried it as it seems to have gotten better but I agree with you RM it can only help :)

daisy has a cough and im giving her bm im only feeding her myself a few sppons a day as that all i make but i reckon it will help

:yay: my milk cleared up Morgan's sticky eye when he was newborn, had been there for about 3 days then after I put breast milk on it, it cleared up by that evening! It should be given 'superfood' status!

Have this mental image of squirting breastmilk into babys eyes now.. Aim and FIREE!! Lol will remember this though!

 I kept expressed milk in a sterile container in the fridge. applied with some cotton wool :)
