hcg Levels could it be twins

I found out while i was in hospital that i was pregnant they took blood and it came back that my HCG level was 450 and iwas about 13 days (since conception) they redone the test 48 hours later and it came back 1600 (cant remember exact number put def 1600 somthing) so its nearly quadrupled does that mean it could be twins. please help!!!

i think it usually doubles so number seems right for one baby?? xxx

Day 1 - 450 x2 = 900 and by day 2 = 1600 it hasnt even doubled, i think it means doubled each day not each 48 hours?? not sure xx
