Hi Girls

I know it's still early in the day but I haven't felt my LO move yet.... usually I feel movements upon waking and then again after eating breakfast but nothing so far. I've heard movements do get less the further on you are as baby has less room but I haven't even felt nudges today. Am at work till 1pm so not much I can do until then really but just wanted some reassurance from you lovely ladies x x

i used to be the same when i was at work, i was constantly on my feet but once i had calmed down and stopped moving i could feel her move or kick when i was driving home. Try an ice cold drink it might wake your little one up x x x

Hi yeah movements do get less try lying on ur side for a minute or two or prrss firmly should prompt movement. Hospital wud happiliy monitor you for decreased movement think alot of people find when the monitors start to be put on baby moves loads ad is being poked x x

thanks girls of all things starting to feel a few movements now! I think baby is just getting lazy....going to keep an eye on things though for the rest of the day and try lying on my side when I get home. It's nice to know though I'm not the only one who worries about these things! x x

It was probably just having a lie in as your working, they do that when they are born too, but will up at a silly time when you want a lie in! Glad you've had some movements now x

thanks Sarah, I think my OH thinks I'm mean for prodding baby trying to get it to wake up - men just don't get though the worries us pregnant ladies have to contend with! x x

My OH says that too! Then he finds a little foot and deliberate pokes it to move it!

I think my LO is getting lazy as well! I give him little prods as well if he's not moving much! I also shine a light up against my tummy which sometimes gets a bit of a wriggle! He must be running out of space now though. I'm trying to get used to the new types of movements he's doing. I'm getting a lot less jerky kicks and a lot more pushing and stretching that seems to be in slow motion!

xx

I was a bit worried on friday as well - it felt like he hasn't moved for ages! But then he started kicking happily in the evening again :) I think this is because the movements are slowing down now for us (shame!)

Movements are def more controlled now, like has been said you feel more stretching! Mine still has hiccups all the time though so although I hate them it's also reassuring!

Hey Bella- sorry I only just saw this! Glad LO started moving in the end!
I had a scare with this a few weeks back and MW told me to go get monitored, which I did and all was fine, felt a bit of an idiot but then again I would never have forgiven myself if something had been realy wrong!......I think LO tends to have some lazy days from time to time. Movements are definately more like 'rolls' and 'stretches' and not so mnay 'kicks' now. It's weird but sometimes it's like he's trying tp push through to the surface! lol! ......I agree with you Sarah13, hiccups are annoying but v reassuring all the same xx
