Has anyone got either of these? they are the only main things we need to get now, apart from cot! lol but just wondered if you could recommened a highchair and a travel cot?

show me yours!!!

:D

I have a travel cot mainly cause we have two excitable dogs and thought it would be better downstairs where the dogs are and they wont be able to get to him where as they might knock over a moses basket!! I brought the Graco one from toys r us with the green swirls on that is a basinete too.

I havent brought a high chair as thought would wait till nearer the time when he will need it.

Ive not got either, was planning on asking the inlaws to get her a highchair for xmas as she wont really need any prezzies, I would like a nice one and they can cost a lot

We were lucky enough to have been given a nearly new high chair its a mamas and papas one looks really good so that will do us, we are looking at travel cots at the moment i am probably going to go for a hauck (the winnie the pooh one) lol :D

my MIL volunteers in a charity shop and she said a travel cot came in the other day, but she's not sure what knick it's in, so i'm gonna have a look at that. didn't really think i needed a high chair yet?

We weren't planning on getting a highchair until we needed it, but after a trip to Mothercare the other week with my mum she got excited and ordered us one! It's a wooden one from Mothercare that converts into a little table and chairs when little one is bigger. http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B0 ... 1&mcb=core Will be keeping it flat packed until needed!

Planning on buying a travel cot at some point to leave at my folks for when we're visiting.

I havent got a high chair! I wont be until we need one after about 4-6 months or so as it will just take up space!
As for the travel cot! I havent got one yet but will be getting one as after the moses basket, I think LO will go into the travel cot with bassinet until shes old enough to go into her own room! But no need for one until shes about 4 months either!
Save money for us before xmas too really!

22 lbs it says

I've just been given a really old graco travel cot by a colleague at work. (Think it's about 4-5years old so wont find it on net but it's navy and very basic  ) but I wouldn't have personally bothered to get one....not yet anyway.
Also got offered a high chair last week by another colleague but turned it down cause I can't be bothered trying to find somewhere to store it for the best part of 6 months

I suppose it's ok if you have somewhere to store them but we don't really so I'm not going to bother with walekrs or anything like that until he's old enough to use them :)

we got our travel cot from the baby fair at birmingham but dont know where to find a piccy of it. As for high-chair, OH is going to try & hint at his family this week i think to get & store away the one asda have on offer at the moment. Graco highcair in yellow for £25 :)
Sarah... that highchair/cube table looks WELL posh! Wish we had room for that :D

We got a highchair as a baby shower gift. We don't have a travel cot, as we don't need one.

I got a travel cot in the sales aaaaages ago half price so only £20 :D . She sleeps in it all day in our front room, the first week it was the only thing she would sleep in and we spent a week downstairs on the sofa.

I wasn't going to bother with any of these things for a while but we went in Asda at the weekend and they had a travel cot on offer for £25 (very basic one) and a high chair on offer for £25 too so we got them both.

We are going to use the travel cot as more of a play pen to keep downstairs than for baby to sleep in really.

I got my travelcot about a month ago from Lidl as they were having a baby promotion that week.

It was £30 and I'm extremely happy with it - it's as good as a £50 model easy. The base is really sturdy, it's made out of very strong materials, came with a fly net, it has an zip up opening at one of the ends too for ease of babe getting in and out when he can crawl. Folds up nice and tidy in it's own case too.

I immediately went for this as when I was still preg last year I got a baby gate for £15 and a baby monitor for £20 and they've been absolutely brilliant.

So I'd really recommend going to Lidl when they have baby offers on!!!

(as for high chair, purchased it about a month ago, but still haven't used it yet, so it's not something I would say you need to rush out and buy!)
