As the title says really! I met a mum with one today who swears by it so was thinking of getting one. I don't really have any hips to speak of and so when I carry Lizzie I really have to jut my hip out iykwim?
I'm just wondering whether it'd actually take enough of the strain to warrant using it instead of a pram for like a 10-15 minute trip into town etc.

Never heard of these before but just had a google and they look really handy, shows suitable until 3 years too, reckon by that age our backs will need all the help they can get. Not too expensive either. Might have to have a think about getting one of these!

I looked at these while I was pregnant and thought Id deffinatly get one but now Im just going to buy a woven wrap so she can be perched in the wrap on my hip. I think it might spread the weight more evenly across my body. I saw a woman walking around with 1.5/2 yr old in one and it looked really comfy for both mum and baby. They do look good though :)

I don't have a hip seat as such, but I do use a pre maxx sling on my hips sometimes, it's so much easier than getting him into a wrap for a quick walk to the corner shop or something, I wear it so it holds him on my hip, like this pic, it's very comfy, so I imagine a dedicated hip seat would be just as comfy

I had one with my son and hated it, but like you I dont really have any hips and it just felt uncomfortable, I didnt start using it until my son was nearly about 18 months though and hes rather a heavy child. I think for smaller babies they would be ok.
