I have tasted cow and gate and sma, and how a baby drinks it, i will never know, let alone cry for it!!!!! It smells like a wet fart too!!!!!

I am SO glad you've decided not to do this anymore, no one is saying your a bad mom as you are only doing what a HV told you but honestly I have only ever been told it can be very bad for them, your HV must be very old cos it was the "in thing" to do in the 60's but modern medicine say no way to it now.

Shes not really old but probably does do the old way. Iv put him down tonight as usual without the baby rice and hes gone off, ill let u no how he sleeps, fingerscrossed he goes through still. Im just so worried about how much he eats, when he wakes up he has an 8oz bottle every 3 hrs

I understand a lot of people now get upset about putting baby rice in babies bottles. But i think u was right when u said u was looking out for signs of discomfort, and if ur LO was not taking to the milk then he would have had belly ache or bad poo.

My sister is 8 and she was raised on baby rice in a bottle, so its not too long ago that it stopped

I am sure u are doing fine sweety, and yes in answer to ur question, baby milk is sick!!! haha ... I always get funny when i have to lick it off my arm cos it has fish oil in it and i am vegi hehe xxxx

SMA is disgusting!!!! im not surprised Jamie pulls at my boobs when we r out and I have to give him a bottle, it tastes so metallic!!

havent tried me tho lol, im hopin its more milk like rather than that formula!!!

gonna start Jamie on the babyrice soon, hopefully it will fill him up!

he slept until 3 o clock, then till 5.40 and hes been really wingey all day but i think hes teething so that cud b y too, i just feel guilty i wud hate if n e did get in his lungs

Hiya I saw in your other posts you've been struggling a bit with this

Have you thought about asking a different HV for advice? Is there a drop in baby clinic for weighing and stuff near you?

Now you have made the change I'd hate for you to not get advice and support from us on the forum, after it was our advice that made you stop.

He may just be having a little growth spurt, or he may just be a hungry baby. I can sympathise though: Brody didn't sleep through till he was 9 months, that was a nightmare for me!

Hope it settles down soon.

He is a hungey baby, but im just so confuses, at the hospital they told me i was already over feeding him its a bit of a nightmare really, i will always come on here for advice because all of you have really helped me get this far, i just dont no wot to do and i live in a very small village/town and the only HV is the one i have and shes the one who runs the weighing clinic too. Ill persevere for tonight again, maybe he needs to get used to not having it. will let u know how it goes but thankyou x
