Has anyone else had this? Worried

Yesterday one of my glands started hurting in my neck and over the past 24 hours it's just hot bigger and more painful! It's like a massive lump sticking out of my neck now and I'm worried it means I've got an infection or something! Anyone else had this? I don't really know what to do xx

Could be an infection, glandular fever ? Don't quote me. But is see the doctor if you are worried x

Just spoke to a nurse at NHS direct and she has told me to see an emergency doctor will keep you posted x

I'm ok thanks girls, saw emergency doc and she said she didn't know what was causing it. She thinks it might be the start of a virus/infection but not sure until I get more signs so she said not to worry and just go to my normal doc on Monday for antibiotics if it gets worse! Xx
