Thought I would post my birth story
Saturday 6am- woke up with period pains. Thought possibly braxton hicks so rang hospital and got told to have Bath and give it an hour. Still had pains an hour later so rang them back. They told me to come in. Got there and was monitored. Baby happy had a urine sample and internal. Urine highlighted a urine infection so was prescribed antibiotics. Internal showed cervix not open so was sent home.
Started antibiotics n getting cramps still but bareable. At 9pm they were worse so rang hospital and thy basically told me a water infection was going to hurt so to ride it out. Managed to struggle on till 3am Sunday morning where pains were sobad I rang again and got told to go in. Had bother internal to hitch dr said I'm really sorry but you're 3-4 cm dilated and in early labour. I just broke own then as I was only 32 weeks pregnant and panic just took over. They gave me a steroid injection for babies lungs and some tablets to stop the labour. This worked or most of Sunday and a second steroid injection was given at 6pm. Not long after this the contractions started again. By midnight they were unbearable. Got on gas and air and the pain was awful. This continued fir a few hours but the pains were so bad i was screaming a the highest point on contraction. No other pain relief was offered. At 2:30am I started pushing and it all got pouch I said I couldn't do it anymore. Got proper bollocking off the midwives and told I had to. I screamed through them, had to get cut and then at 2:45am Harry arrived. He was whisked straight away to neonatal. I'm currently in a state of shock and the past few days ave been so emotional. It breaks my heart to leave him at hospital and to only get 2 cuddles a day. I hate that I have to ask permission to hold my own son and sometimes get told no. Just looking forward to him coming home now xxxx

sorry you had such a traumatic time! You've done so well, congratulations on little Harry though, hopefully not too long until he's home xx
