Yesterday my ten year old came home after over three weeks away!!!

He had a week with his Dad then two weeks with his grandparents (dad's side) - in that time he became a big brother for the first time this year as Dad's wife had a baby girl two weeks ago :D

So this morning me and Charlie made a shopping list and then we had a lovely walk through the park to the doctors to put in some prescription order forms.. I worried my little man a bit cos walking brings on strong Branston Pickles now.. i can't walk through them anymore I have to stop and breathe lol :) Charlie didn't know what was happening but I explained and the third time it happened he gently stroked my bump with his "magic hands" awwwwww i love my son soooo much he's so cute :D

We mooched round town and he bought sweets and a mini gnome for me OH's garden which is taking shape nicely outside :D it only a few tubs in the communal yard but he's got a scarecrow and a gnome now lol :D Then we went n got veggies and eggs and fruit off the market n a bit more stuff from the supermarket and Charlie carried all the heavy stuff bless him :D

I've missed him loads whilst he been away but have been glad to have a break aswell :) we're off to the seaside with nanna next week sometime so hopefully the rain will stop and we get a nice day or two!! Got the joys of new school uniform to come yet eeeeeeeeek!

We're off to see the consultant in the morning cos I am considered a high risk pregnancy cos of bein so ill when Charlie was born.. so we're gonna see a guy who is apparantley the only consultant at the hospital to advocate women birthing where they feel most comfortable instead of to the consultant's schedule :) am a bit apprehensive but Mum and Lee will be with me :)

So the menfolk have been rebonding this afternoon over films and sweets in the bedroom and i've been reading back over old journal entries this afternoon and feeling really happy and content I am :D

Just wanted to share...

Loads of love and sunshine

Aye i think he's really glad to be home :) we swapped bedrooms while he was away cos he had the biggest room and we need more space now.. so he's been enjoying his "new" bedroom :D said he slept like a log last night bless him :)
And he held my hand all the way to town apart from when we passed some of his mates on their bikes and then he let go (ovbiously) but held hands again when his mates had gone :D I think tis lovely my ten year old still wants to hold my hand :D

Awww, where's he gone? (Coorrr I'm a nosey bugger!)

Hope you have an equally lovely first day back with your son  xx

To my mums with his 3 cousins she live in scotland right by the sea.

He is a typical only child and doesnt cope well with the other 3 kids for long times so 2 weeks away has been tough, also my mum has a totally different approach to parenting and its getting Ds down as he doesnt really understand why she is like she is.

We will be visiting with him next year, cant bloody stand the woman but he loves her (in small doses) and Esme will need to get to know her grandma too

Oh bless his heart  Sounds like he can't wait to come home then!

I suppose you've had a bit of alone time while he's been away though so that must have been quite nice for you and your DH.

I KNEW someone on this forum had chosen Esme!! I love that name. It's such a gorgeous name :cheer: x
