Hope im not soudning vain asking about hair lol

Right, my hair is currently at jsut below shoulder length, atm i always straighten it but natrually i have wavy/curly hair. Im thinking of growing it and leaving it as curls but what do i do with it so it looks tidy rather than a mess.

At this length i dont expect much curl in it yet but there is still quite a wave, when i dry my hair after washing it looks perfect but then when i wake up after sleeping its a mess again and sticking out all places.

Hope im making some sense here.

My hair is wavy naturally but a really crap wave. If I want to make it more wavy I tend to plait it into 2 plaits overnight then finger brush it in the morning. I also use surf spray so it looks more messy.I will either clip my front bits back or just tuck behind my ears.

When my hair is long enough it will curl into ringlets, thats how curly it can get but because of my hair type it only curls at the bottom 3 quarters, the top stays straight.

I have wavy/curly hair and I find that when I have washed it if I roll it into a bun to dry (this can take a long time!) it dries curly with no frizz. I use sunsilk leave in conditioner :D

okay have no idea if im going to write this so you understand, I have problems explaining :? here goes anyway...

when you wash your hair in the shower or bath, wash it as normal. When you get out of the shower/bath DONT BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR instead..

Towel dry your hair, not to much... leave it a little damp still. Grab your conditioner you used when after washing your hair and put about a ping pong size amount onto your hair working it throughout.... then tightly twist sections of your hair and leave it to dry naturally... when completely dry add a tiny amount of hair spray onto your hair... and haypresto... you have very sexy natrual curls :D

Probably a really silly question but what do i twist my hair with?
(can you tell ive never really done much with my hair before lol)

I dont think my hair is really long enough to tie into a bun.

I tried looking for a pic of how curly my hair can get but cant find one, ill keep looking though.

Okay heres a pic of what happens yo my hair as it gets longer, as you can see only half of it is curly (plus i dont know very well how to take care of curls)

I think Violet means just getting a section of hair and twisting it, if its damp it will stay in place but loosed as it dries. I think thats what was meant :?

Yep thats what I meant, told you I wasnt good at explaning things lol

This would work perfectly on your hair hun judging by the pic.

Just grab it with your hands and twist ...take sections of hair as big as a 50p coin. You might have to keep adding tiny amounts of conditioner (this helps keep it in place thoughout the day and when you sleep)

am I making sense? :?

Sorta
Think i will have a go and see what works. Gonna be fun with the conditioner, im not a big fan of putting too much in my hair.

You could try pinning your hair with grips too, I think Violet's methods are similar to mine! As I said I use leave in conditioner but if you don't like conditioner I think mousse would work too. Its a good idea to wash it before bed and then do not comb or brush when dry just use your fingers!

If I am really lazy I just wash my hir and sleep on it and this gives me loads of curls and body but I think it makes my hair look to thick, I think you should experiment :D

I wash and sleep on it too or have it towel dried, it usually ends up sticking out all places lol.

What about those bendy curlers? no idea what theyre called lol, would they work?
