Had scan to check placenta..

And it's moved up a little bit!!!

I have another in two weeks time and they'll check it again to see if it's moved up further

Hopefully, by the time I'm 30-35 weeks it will have moved up sufficiently to allow a natural birth

I hope it does xx

good news hun! i'm sorry if i've missed a previous thread, but what is wrong? i only ask as there may be problems with my placenta in the future and they've indicated an early birth?! x

I had uite a lot of bright red bleeding one day, and had to go to hospital They gave me a scan to make sure bubs was ok, and discovered the placenta was partially covering my cervix - ie placenta praevia (they missed it at my 20 week scan!! - midwife said she had no idea how that happened!). They hope that as the uterus grows the placenta moves up with it, so I had a scan to check if it had moved any and it's moved up a little bit! I'll have a scan every 2 weeks to see if it keeps moving until either they're satisfied it's moved up enough, or they decide it's not gonna move enough and I'll need a c section

Hope your placenta is ok hun, normally it will move up on it's own, just sometimes it doesnt x

thanks flugel! pregnancy isn't easy is it? i think they are worried about the protein in my placenta so might have to have an early c-section too, lets hope both our LO's go all the way xxxxxxx
