I'm on 3 ranitidine daily which allergic to do I have to take piriton with it but the heartburn is that bad I keep vomiting BADLY to the point I can't keep anything down not even water n then I vomit blood so they have me on anti sickness pills aswell
They literally last 2 hours and wear off n I can only take 3 a day of all of them!!
What else can I do/try???? You would think I was in full blown labour the way I'm breathing just to stop me being sick so I can keep my water down x

Aww no sounds awful. Have you tried omeprazole from the gp? X

The only thing they will give me is ranitidine! He just said he don't want to risk anything with my history! It's awful, I literally can't take much more, it's at the point now where I can't eat cause I will only be sick and it's not just a little sickness it's full on vomiting hard (let's just say the bladder isn't my friend neither....I thought my waters went the first time last night)
I've tried everything I can think of! Just a bit worried as last time they dipped my wee it was full of ketones meaning im dehydrated....well of course I am I can't keep fluids down!! Don't know what to do .... Hospital say ring gp, gp says he can't up/change my meds and section isn't for another 7 days! I already can't sleep at night due to being up vomiting x

What are or were you eating?

What position is baby in do you know try sitting on your ball as much as possible to allow more room for stomach etc.

Milk is good(for some not everyone) warm drinks I find help me more(i have a stomach ulcer and cant take my meds so feel your pain) so even try sipping hot water from the kettle. Cold water makes it worse for me.

Also bread is a good one to soak up acid etc and stop vomitting

Oh and I tried ranitidine with my first and in all honesty it made me worse and made me sick.

I've tried milk and that makes it worse. I've tried all sorts diff foods, I've cut out the typical meats and fatty foods etc
Il give warm/hot water a go. I resorted to bread and that was a fail as well. I literally just sat crying (ok I'm a wimp) but it's that bad

Chewing gum is supposed to be a natural way of neutralising stomach acid. Luckily milk and sitting upright works for me.

I hope you feel better soon.

Oh hun this sounds awful :( you don't sound like a whimp at all to me - I don't know how you are coping with this!!

I have an inflamed stomach (was like it before pregnant) and take omeprazole, I couldn't cope without it. But have you tried bicarbonate of soda and water? Just a small amount in warm water and sip it, it helps to neutralise the acid. Also avoid anything that might trigger an attack like fried food, pastry, bread and spicy food. I really feel for you it's a horrible thing to have to deal with xx
