I'm still not 100% convinced. Well I caved in to temptation yesterday and had a gender scan, I'm 16 weeks. I have been convinced up until now that I am having a girl, I already have a girl & boy and this pregnancy is like my girls in every way, how I feel and what I'm craving. Even l comparing my 12 week scan pic to my daughters it's identical whereas my sons looks different. I posted my scan pic on here and other forums for gender guesses and the replies were 100% girl. Now I'm completely thrown off lol
Don't get me wrong it doesn't matter to me as long as the baby is healthy but I was just so convinced and my instincts were right on my other pregnancies, I must be losing my maternal touch haha! Anyway has anyone ever been told wrong at an earlier gender scan then corrected at their 20 week one? Also not sure they can get 'boys' wrong?

Thanks.

Oh and here's my 12 week scan again that you all thought girl.

I really don't know how people can say 100% girl when even a sonographer will never give you 100% gender

I'd wait untill 20 week- if again it's a boy- then that's 2 sonographers saying the same and the forums and yourself were wrong :)

It's pretty accurate when they say it's a boy, less so if they say girl. I've always had 16 week gender scans, they have always been 100% right for me. You won't have too long before you can get that checked. It's more than likely correct I'd say.

They can get boys wrong. It happened to my friends sister her hubby just went "our girl has a penis" the day he was born lol Maybe leave off buying till 20wk scan for confirmation.

This is why I like bring yellow lol

I would have guessed boy bit that is just a guess I think when they sat boy it's more accurate the girl but obv nothing 100%. I'm sure they will confirm at your 20 week for you. Xx

I was told by a senior sonographer that they v rarely get it wrong when they say 'boy; as it means they've seen boy bits, but they can often get girls wrong as the bits may not be big/visible enough yet. I was told at 12, 16 and 20 weeks it was a boy and my consultant said 100% at 16 weeks so pretty certain he's a boy :-) x

Looking at your scan and the skull theory I would be inclined to guess at boy. I would trust your Sonographer more than guesses on a forum :)

This scan is identical to my daughters though so I don't trust the skull theory anymore lol, more sons skull on his scan was a lot more rounded x

The key is in the 'theory' bit of skull theory

It's a theory and not fact....

I've got a boy and a girl already so we weren't too worried what we have this time.

At our 12 week scan our sonographer asked us out of the blue if we wanted to know what we were having. She was so sure it was a boy. So we booked a private gender scan at 16 weeks to confirm, and shock - it's a girl! Still weren't convinced so we waited till20 week scan and confirmed girl.

This is my 2nd baby and this pregnancy is totally different but im having another boy. We went for a gender scan at 15+6 and they could tell straight away he was a boy then had it confirmed at my 20 week scan. Did they not give you a potty shot photo? x

i went for a private scan at 30 wks as was told at 20wk and 22wk scan 'probably' a girl.
baby was in wrong position for them at 20wks to see most stuff plus genitals and wouldnt move position!
that is why we had a 22wk scan as had to go back - baby still was not playing in ball in showing her bits! but was told 'probably' a girl again by dif sonographer!!

my pregnancy was identical to my sons just like you said, same cravings, same sickness and nausea pattern everything!

anyway 30wk scan we had 100 confirmed a girl and she is a girl now nearly 4 months old.

but when we turned up for the private scan we were left waiting and went in late because people before had been told at 20wk scan that it was a boy and this scan had showed girl and one of the parents had just lost their dad or something so really wanted a little boy so was hysterically upset - true story!!
so it can happen that they can say wrong for a boy but i do believe it is very rare!!

i would def wait until 20wk scan xxx

Thanks girls, no I wasn't shown any parts, boy or girl and I wasn't given a potty shot, wish I'd asked now. It doesn't matter either way I just wish for a healthy baby but I now know never to trust my instincts again hahaha x

By your scan picture I would of guessed boy honestly, I'd wait until the 20 week scan just to confirm xxx

I had gender scan at 16 weeks and another at 19 weeks n 20 weeks all confirmed girl xx

I had a gender scan at 16 weeks and was told girl, which I believed at the time as the pregnancy was identical to my daughters - then I kept seeing something on the scan dvd and worrying, and felt uncertain again! I have since had my 20 week scan and was told girl again (I didn't tell her what gender scan had said) and saw a really good view of the 3 lines and totally nothing else between the legs! Going by skull theory however everyone would guess boy from her pics!

I had a 16 week gender scan with my daughter was right , had a gender scan with this pregnacy told girl also told girl at 20 week scan and at a growth scan I had x
