gtt today

gah how ming.. had to stay at hospital and had charl with me.. so i sneeked out and took erh to school.. then went bk for the last hour n half to sit in a germ infested boiling hospital to read 4 year old take a breaks..

then when i went in for the 2nd lot of bloods she was sratching the needle against the side my vain..eww.. turned me sick.. then she had to take blood from the other vain as it stopped giving blood.. grr.. so have 2 bruises on either arm.. so said dont lift anything for the day.. lol..

couldnt wait to get out of there tbh.. got to see the consultant midwife next week for the results and to talk bout home birth.. fingers crossed i pass the gtt..

Totally sympathy hun... The test is sh*t and for some reason I was left with a whopping great big bruise on my arm too...

Did they leave you with any blood for yourself?! I was amazed that I had any left as I had my 28 week bloods done at the same time. I think they took 3 things of blood before and another 2 afterwards in the PHLEBOTOMY unit (or something - what a name!).
Forutnately there were 2 other girls having theirs at the same time so I chatted to them.
